What truly puts Hudson Yards in a “league of its own” is advanced technology: the concept of “smart home” technology will be built into the project, so you will be able to interact with the community from your phone in an absolutely new way. The system of sensors and apps was developed in partnership with NYU’s Center for Urban Science and Progress.
"Hudson Yards is not only changing the skyline – it’s going to change the way people perceive New York. People will look at the Hudson Yards as a leading indicator of what a smart city is all about. Everything we are trying to do here is best-in-class and in a long haul, that’s going to have a huge effect on the way New York works” - Jay Cross, President Hudson Yards at Related.
